Presidents always promise their version of change once they enter office. One thing that has definitely changed in the past five decades is home prices.

NAR began collecting existing-home sales and price data back in 1968. In those 49 years, there have been nine U.S. presidents sworn in after today’s inauguration of Donald Trump.

Below is the nominal and real (adjusted for inflation) median single-family home price at the time each president was sworn in:
